Frankie & Fred – Diario di un’avventura a colori is a colorful children’s book created in collaboration with author Francesca Calandri. The story follows Frankie, a young flamingo who dreams of changing his color and discovering his own identity. Through a playful and imaginative adventure, the book explores themes of self-expression, friendship, individuality, and learning to appreciate what makes us unique.

My role included the complete visual development of the book, from character illustration and scene creation to editorial layout and image composition. I developed the visual language of the characters and environments, integrating hand-crafted textures, vibrant colors, and playful compositions throughout the story.

The illustrations were designed to work seamlessly with the narrative, creating a cohesive visual experience across the cover, interior pages, chapter illustrations, and decorative elements.
